faceplate with rarely seen inset circular nickel silver spindle medallion stamped “Patent Perfect Reel, Ball Bearings, Hardy Bros Ltd., Alnwick”, domed ivorine handle, brass foot, brass framed nickel silver revolving line guide, strapped rim tension screw with Turk’s head locking nut and 1906 calliper spring check mechanism, quadruple tubular brass drum pillars, milled nickel silver drum screw, small rim section missing beside line guide on faceplate side and some light corrosion marks to drum rim, a very rarely seen variant salmon model circa 1906 (see illustration) £1000-1500
