ivorine handle on brass cup, block foot, red agate line guide (no cracks), brass drum rim with three tubular brass pillars, strapped rim tension screw and 1908 silent pressure brake check mechanism, interior cage plate pierced large and small perforations, contracted drum with four rim cusps, two bands of large and small perforations and brass locking screw, faceplate with three incised concentric bands, no name details and very lightly scratched initials “J.H.C.”, sold with a letter of authentication, dated 8^th April 2008 from Charles Norris, Head of Reel Design at Hardy’s, circa 1908 (see illustration) £1500-2500
