200 An exceptionally rare uncatalogued Allcock Aerial 5” Roller Back model 5101-T2 centre pin reel,
caged and six spoked drum with solid ebonite flanges (no perforations), twin tapered horn handles, German silver front rim and spring release fork, alloy backplate fitted four brass roller bearings, brass stancheon foot, stamped “patent” and rear sliding brass optional check button with calliper spring check mechanism, backplate re-leaded at some time, a previously unseen size of this highly sought after model which was listed as being offered only in 4” and 4 ½” sizes through Forrest of Kelso (see Singleton B.: The Allcock Aerial – A Collectors Guide, pgs.48/49), circa 1910, sold with a later Edwardian circular leather case, with strap lock (see illustration) £4500-6500
