alloy construction with 3:1 ratio gearing, off-set tapered ivorine handle on counter-balanced arm which disengages the spool for casting when raised and turned, removeable alloy rear plate  with six ventilation ports and twin rim locking slots, recessed to house the patent fan casting regulator, nickel silver block foot and triple pillared drum cage, faceplate stamped makers details and rear plate with patent details, 2 ⅛” diameter, in original fitted pine rectangular case, good overall condition, circa 1915 (see illustration) £800-1000
