** The only records we can find of a salmon of this size being taken was in 1901 by Mrs. Grace Radclyffe on the River Namsen, the date of capture, style of carving and the Farlow address details would indicate this is likely to be the same fish. Angling Auctions sold the pair of Malloch carved wooden 40lb Tay salmon taken by the same angler in our sale in April 2021, which sold for £38,000 (exc. commission) for the pair
