 the 4” turntable style threadline reel with mahogany drum having a tapered horn handle and brass spring release clip set into a central recess, mahogany backplate with brass wire line guide, swivelling brass foot with alloy locking collar and starback stancheon, stamped model and patent details and with sliding brass optional check button, rarely seen example, circa 1912 (see illustration)
