sourced from the Hardy factory some decades ago the collection comprises 42 gut eyed and 236 steel eyed flies displaying a multitude of various classic and scarce patterns including Brown Turkey (Aaro), Black Dose (American), Sir Richard, Canary, Black Doctor, Black Goldfinch, Rough Grouse, Silver Wilkinson, Thunder & Lightning, Grey Nipisiquit, Nova Scotia et al, along with an extensive collection of related paperwork and ephemera including many hand-written pattern details, ink inscribed envelopes detailing fly patterns and clients names, trade packets and printed paper fly “folds”, most flies and ephemera dating between c.1900-1930, a unique opportunity to acquire a slice of Hardy’s fly making history £2000-3000
