295 A fine and rare Forrest of Kelso leather cased black japanned salmon fly reservoir,
cream painted interior fitted seven lift-out trays each with cork lined base and fly bars and one further open, un lined, cast tray, the reservoir holds a very good selection of 300 early gut eyed salmon flies including larger patterns and some doubles and 14 further steel eyed salmon irons, each tray ink stamped makers details, japanned case with drop hasp lock and leather outer case with fall front panel with twin strap locks (later replacements) and wrap-around carry strap, lid, black stamped previous owners initials, 13 ¼” x9 ¼” x 7 ½” overall, circa 1910 (see illustration) £4000-6000
